A message from the founder, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal:
In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
I founded Alwaleed Philanthropies because I believe that every individual has a social responsibility towards his country, his religion, and his people. That is why I launched Alwaleed Philanthropies with the goal of helping everyone in need regardless of their gender, race, or religion.
For nearly four decades, the Foundation has focused on four areas: disaster relief, empowering women and youth, building bridges between cultures, and community development.
This strong belief in giving stems from my faith, culture and upbringing. Philanthropy without borders is the vision of Alwaleed Philanthropies. God willing, we are able to deliver our assistance to people anywhere in the world. We have worked in partnership with many institutions, both charitable and governmental, to support and fund hundreds of projects in more than 189 countries around the world.
By the grace of God, we have succeeded in providing relief to millions during disasters. We have changed the lives of thousands by raising awareness to accept others and accommodate those who do not belong to the same religion. We have also supported women and youth to be the foundation of a bright future. We have built many communities, either by developing living conditions, improving their health conditions, or upgrading educational methods and systems.
Although I am happy with what we have been able to achieve together so far, I am certain that our work has only just begun.
His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal
